FAQs

1. About ceramics

Every piece is an original, handmade piece, created on the pottery wheel and glazed by me. I mostly work with white stoneware clay, as well as occasionally porcelain and brown stoneware clay. Firing in a high fire gas kiln up to cone 10 results in beautiful variations and unpredictability, so each vessel is a unique piece of art.

2. Care

Unless specified, all of my pieces are created using glazes that are considered food safe. My pieces are functional and unless specified, most pieces are dishwasher safe. For the terrasigillata vessels, I would not recommend using the dishwasher due to the crackling nature of terrasigillata, and only use a damp sponge to spot clean the outside in order to avoid having the crackling fall off.

3. More description

Please reach out if you are interested in a piece and would like more detail on how it was made, which glazes and clay bodies were used, or if you would like to see additional pictures.
